Grey's Anatomy makes me hate myself.

Because it always, always, ALWAYS makes me cry. And then I am filled with self-loathing and hatred because it's so anvilicious about it!! Ahhh!!

I think I should do my post-show posts as a bulleted list of Things in This Episode That Made Me Cry

- Izzie breaking down while helping Alex The Biggest Shithole in All The Universe.
- Burke. Seriously. Every fucking scene. He tries so hard and is so confused and omg I just don't know what to do with him.
- Cristina talking to that little kid.
- Derek finally telling Addison that he loves Meredith. Just after I'd been muttering angrily to the screen that they need to stop dragging this plotline on.
- Addison. I can't believe I feel so sorry for her when she fucked up her own marriage so badly.
- That scene at the end, with Izzie and Meredith and George staring up at the tree, I used to make Amy lie under our tree in college like that, made me all nostalgic-like

All the family shrieking scenes gave me agita, but I did think the best line ever was Izzie shouting, "Because it's what JESUS would freaking do!!!!!" Hee.

That scene at the end, where Cristina comes home and he's decorated the tree by himself and put up a menorah? It just killed me. He tries so damn hard! And she's so freaking difficult, but he never walks away!!

I must concede that Christina talking to that kid like he was a real person was Awesome. Although, I think Christina is being a bit of a dick re: the holiday season. But I love her venomous verve. She is always so abrasive it's a delight.

I also really dug the scene where Bailey was telling her little unborn passenger to stop kicking so she can just finish that surgery already, dammit.

I really don't like Meredith, so any of her subplots have no effect on me. In fact, if I were "McDreamy," I'd happily ditch both Meredith *and* Addison (terrible, terrible name) for Izzie. She's a former lingerie model with a goofy sense of humor, bakes phenomenonally, is game enough to attempt a full-fledged Thanksgiving dinner herself and loves Christmas - are you kidding? As opposed to one girl who whines constantly and another who nails your best friends. Whoa, tough choice.

She just gets more and more desirable each week. I've actually had an insane crush on Katherine Heigl since I saw that terrible movie she was in with Gerard Depradieu on HBO many years ago. What, it was made in 1994 (I just checked on IMDB.com), I was... only 20 then. She was like 17. Don't give me that look. I'm sorry - that girl is just hot.

Yeah, Meredith bugs. And I couldn't agree with you more about Izzie. She is wonderful. And damn, the girl is HOT. And I even saw "My Father The Hero" back when, and agree that 20-year old lecherous-you at least had good taste!

Sometimes I love Cristina (and I certainly love Sandra Oh), but sometimes I want to club her with a tire iron for being so insensitive.
