I feel like I should write a final post about Survivor. But there's not that much to say.



I'm glad Danni won, and glad Steph didn't. Though I do wish Danni'd taken Rafe to the final two. But I also wish Rafe hadn't turn into such an entitled git in the last two episodes. It's like last season's debacle where the great and glorious Tom turned into a complete dick. It's depressing. I also wish that Step hadn't been such an entitled git for most of the season so I could have actually not hated her so much. Oh well. It's the price I pay for watching Reality Tv.

Judd, however, continued to stagger me with his inability to be anything but a dick almost entirely through the game. What an utter tool. Jamie is, I'm afraid, quite insane, but I hate him less when he's not on the show. And Bobby Jon sure does pretty up nicely. He would call me ma'am and I would melt into a puddle.

Hmmm.

I ... can live with it. Danni clearly took Steph to Final 2 because she knew that Steph has some Real Enemies, whereas Rafe... just not so much.

I will say that a fed, made-up Danni looks very different from desicated, plain-scrubbed Danni, and I am not sure which I prefer. She's clearly a gorgeous dame, but she looks, I dunno, very plastic and dare I say it, Botox'ed on the reunion special. I also knew that Margaret would clean up nice, and of course, my adored Steph, in full on Jersey glory with all that hair.

I have no idea who Brook was. I have to say, Danni turned out to be one of the all time great players. She never even made one real enemy.

Well, she made one enemy in Rafe, but that was only right there at the last pit stop in Entitlement City.

The survivor chicks are always done up absurdly, with lipstick practically dripping off their mouths. Drives me crazy. I'm sure every-day Danni is less Tammy-Faye-Bakkered and much better looking.

It was really nice to see Margaret again. And I have to say I still think it's hilarious that you have such ardent Steph-love!

But even not made, Danni looked very wierd. Listen, Steph isn't the hottest thing, but she just seems like a normal chick to me, she didn't have an X-treme job like Surfing Instructor or Mountain Guide, she's from New Joisey, like someone I could know personally. Plus she seems made from some Space Age polymer.

She had her vulpine moments, but on the other hand, she was an absurdly good sport when Cindy won the car.

All in all, this season had its more than a fair share of normal, decent folks vs. dicks, ala Ami the Militant Lesbian, Judd the Unmitigated Tool, or even the dreaded Jerri from the early seasons. I liked Rafe, Brian, the cowherder dude with the hat (Brandon?), Margaret, Cindy, I liked Gary, too. There were those who I was enh about, but over all, one of their better seasons.

I wonder if they are going to do an All Stars II soon.

Okay. These two things do not belong together:

I think she's very attractive though she needs to calm down the eyebrow tweezing, but she needs to think before she speaks once in awhile. But I agree, the genuine-glee for Cindy was very endearing. She can be very endearing. I just think she needs to grow up at some point.

And yeah, this was a pretty decent season with mostly decent people! Let this be a trend..
