So definitely the best part of going to work so early is getting to leave so early! I scooted out of there at 4:30 with nearly hysterical glee. I skipped off to Safeway in the barely-there traffic (despite the rain!). I picked up the fixin's for vegetarian chili and went home.

One of the best parts about Hobbsie, specifically, is he is the most tolerant and loving animal I've ever know--seriously. I walk in the door and he runs to greet me. I can pick him up and sit down on the couch and have a major love fest with him, and he never complains. Never hands me any feline disdain. He purrs and headbutts and is all over it. I'm ashamed to admit that usually I zoom in with my own agenda, feed him and don't lavish him with the love he deserves often enough. But today I grabbed him and sat in the office, just giving him millions of smoochies. I love him.

Then I jumped up, fed him, and started chopping veggies. Jeanne called a little bit later on her way back from her super cool yarn connection lady's place. It was very exciting to show off the tv. Hee. We munched on tortilla chips, talked yarn, shopping, etc. We decided to watch Mean Girls and damn it's tragic to see Lindsey Lohan before she went all glam-skank, though that movie gave a glimpse of her future self. So sad. We ate, knit, and figured out the aspect ratio on my tv when I realized I'd accidentally bought the stupid full screen version of the movie.

And I should have to write--1,000 times on the board--the following message:

I agree. I've been lucky mostly with my cats, they've always been sweet, but Hobbes is really special :)

My Ophelia is like that, and you're right, it's something special. The others love us, but none of them are so loving that they'll purr even when we're doing something hideously annoying.
