Ellie called around 6pm and pleaded that we skip swimming again. DAMMIT. She was still sore from yesterday's aerobics and was so genuinely sorry, I couldn't be angry with her. We've rescheduled for Sunday. She hates swimming, so I'm not sure this is ever going to happen. If she cancels again, I'll go myself. Hopefully she won't. We both want to participate in the Danskin Triathlon this summer and Ellie says she needs swimming practice. I, however, need to remember how to ride a bike; this is something I'm not excited about.

So instead? We went out to dinner. Me, Jeff and Ellie. To a fabulous pasta place in Fremont called, I think, Sidewalk Cafe. I can't be sure because I left my glasses at home. I had their house specialty called Aglio Olio (I think *blind*) with Dungeness Crab. It was amazing. Some kind of pesto with bruised garlic and olives and red peppers; it was amazing. We also split a wild greens salad which had the best feta I've ever consumed (along with pears, grapes, yellow peppers and other tasty things). Finished off by splitting the apple spice cake with zabaione ice cream. Oh yeah. Very dietic. At least it was split three-ways, so I don't feel terribly guilty. Their portions aren't enormous, but so rich you're relieved.

It's ok. Going to do the 3-mile track at Greenlake with Ellie tomorrow. Will remember to dress warmly. With that and swimming on Sunday (and running around downtown Saturday), it's going to be ok. I came home and immediately sucked down the leftover pasta (to avoid temptation later, naturally) while watching my tape of Survivor:Allstars. Read my bitchy comments about the episode here.

Continuing to drown my back pain in ibuprofen. Realized that I probably did this to myself in the excitement of leg waxing. I was torquing myself into some odd positions. I want to wake up tomorrow and have this gone. Pain is very annoying. Dr. Stacey suggests ice vs heat. This is very sad as I am already like that cartoon penguin who used to cry ice cubes. I can't remember where that was from, though. Ooo it was Chilly Willy. Yes, I know he liked the ice, shush.

Ahh, it's late. Zu bett.

You are a fountain of eclectic knowledge!

I think it's more like a cesspit.
