I wish I knew the show enough to even know what any of this stuff means! I know Spock and Kirk and then I'm kinda out. Oh, maybe the doc. I only watched a few episodes from the 70s, I think.

Sulu, you see, was a hobby botanist. The expandable red-shirt is kind of self-explanatory. The others, well, there's nearly 40 years of story in there.
