spring cleaning

As I've done fuck-all during the week to this end, and have a largely empty weekend ahead (whee!), I think I'm going to put my time to some good use and clean this place. I want to get a cleaner in for some deep cleaning (conveniently right before my mum visits) but for now, the place needs some straightening out. I'm relieved that Julie's party isn't until 8PM tonight, because that really gives me an entire day. Though I need to remember that the cheese puffs take time to bake, and not attempt to start them at 7PM.

Tomorrow can be about grocery shopping, knitting, and relaxing with Monsieur Hobbes. Oh, and maybe studying French.



Master Bathroom:
- clean litter box
- shake out litter matts
- sweep floors
- clean countertops
- scrub toilet
- hang fresh towels
- collect trash for tossing

Master Bedroom:
- get rid of old bed pieces and stack in foyer
- ziplock lose bolts and nuts for old bed, and put in foyer
- collect laundry to launder
- put away clothes in laundry basket
- wash new sheets
- wash comforter cover
- put mattress pad on new bed
- make bed
- find place for old feather bed (inside sofa bed, maybe?)
- tuck away old side table
- possibly move sewing table to office closet?


Office:
- hang Rothko
- file old bills
- put away tools
- put away things that don't belong on desk
- toss trash
- find three pictures to frame in new picture frame, and hang in hallway
- collect trash for tossing

Hall Bathroom:
- countertops
- put away washed guest towels
- scrub toilet
- collect trash for tossing

Living Room:
- clear clutter
- DUST
- paint the fucking mantle

Kitchen:
- unload dishwasher
- load dishwasher
- toss dead flowers from pass-through
- bake banana bread! (ok, not a cleaning thing, but fun!)
- collect trash and recycling for tossing
- sweep floor

Dining Room:
- DUST
- finish installing the fucking blind al-fucking-ready
- take plastic off chairs so people can stop laughing at me

I hope the banana bread will turn out great. It sounds yummy! It's still not scratched off the list though (as of Sat 8:28pm EST.) EEK! lol ;D
