dinner fun
Jun. 15th, 2006 10:57 pmIn less cranky news, Sarah and her visiting little brother came over for dinner! It was really awesome, though Miss Emma was definitely missed.
I darted home from a post-work thing and grabbed some steak to grill and brownie mix (along with snickers, for snickers-brownie ala mode). I love meat. You can just salt/pepper it and slather it with garlic and it tastes pretty damn good over fire. Did I mention how much I love my bbq? I can't believe those propane tanks don't come with a gauge, some day it's going to run out at a really inopportune moment. Must buy backup tank.
I finally did realize tonight, that while meat needs to rest, one must cover it with a tin foil so it's not so damn cold when serving. Oy. But there was mawing of food and much camaraderie. It's cool to see that D continues to be as awesome as his older sisters. Whole family pretty much rules.
That was damn fun.
OMG now packing. Except maybe I can put it off until morning. *mowr*
