Okay, so I hate hot weather, but warm nights are just lovely. And this whole light-until-10 thing can stay forever.
After dinner, I grabbed mes livres and sortied to the corner Tully's to study and drink their version of a frappachino. It was delicious, and the very nice, cute guy gave me an extra punch on my card. Yay!
I don't think I've babbled about this lately, so I'll say it again--I love my neighborhood. I loved Ballard, but I'm situated so much better here, everything is a short stroll away.
When my brain began to plead for mercy, I packed up and headed for Walgreen's to buy some nail polish, because sandal season is here, baby! Then to Safeway for a couple of ingredients for that roasted garlic salad dressing and urgently needed toilet paper, and then home sweet home.
And I think I'm going to take a long, girly bath, do my nails, and riffle through my wardrobe for skirts.
I need something comfortable, cool, but cute to wear tomorrow. I'm meeting up with Jeff and we're going to head downtown to march with our company's group in the Pride Parade. I'm really looking forward to it, and there's even a dinner planned at Brasa for our director's birthday. I'm going to try to skip that, because Ellie's final dinner at their old house is tomorrow night and I'm going to do my best to get out of the company thing, as much as I'd like to go. I love my work people, but I love Ellie much more.
What I don't love, however, is marching in 90-degree heat. Feh.
Anyhow, I'm really enjoying Six Feet Under. The first disc was just okay, but the more I watch it, the more I like it. So that is definitely on the agenda for tonight.
Time to fill up the tub and use the last of Dawn's lovely Lush bubble bars! Whee!
