Have I mentioned how much I fucking hate hot weather?

Granted, Seattle isn't this miserable for long, but christ on a pogo stick, this is so not okay.

I hate when I can't sleep because the air is so heavy and moist. Though the fan helped last night.
I hate when I take a shower, dry off, get dressed, and immediately feel like I need a shower again.
I hate seeing Hobbes just lying listless on his side, usually next to me, where I am also lying listless.

I have a high tolerance for some things, but heat? Not so much. Also, when it's particularly hot, I tend to break out in little itchy bumps, especially on my arms.

Hate. Hate. HAAAAAAAAAAAATE.

Yesterday ruled and there's a longer post coming with pictures about the weekend and the Pride parade. But I will say this: having spent more of my time going to protests, it's just awesome to go to something where the focus is so happy. There were a small group of protesters (at which point, Jeff tugged at my arm and said, "Remember, we're marching with our company--so no profanity! He's no fun.), but they were blocked off by a large group of supporters; the ones flanking them had huge signs saying, "I'm Not With Stupid!!"

There's just something so utterly delightful in getting to stand up for what you believe and the people you love. So I especially marched for Jeff, Rob, Kelly, KC, Jen, and of course the one who lit the blaze of indignation and rage for this particular issue in me: my leetle Sarah.

I hear ya. Though I'm spending $12.50 to see Superman on Thursday at the local IMAX. (To be fair, $2.50 of that is for buying it online.)

Man, if ONLY there were a local IMAX. I think the closest are like an hour and a half away in either direction. I would be so there. As it is, i'll have to settle for merely ear-shattering, rather than bone-crushing sound :)

Hee! Yeah, totally. Note to self: sit in the back of the theatre.

Although I anticipate marking out completely at the old-school John Williams theme no matter what level the sound is at (The opening titles are even in the same formatOMGNERD)

I have to admit, I've never heard the expression 'marking out' --but I'm guessing it means you are going to be very excited :D

I'm not a huge Superman fan, but I have to admit, I'm pretty excited to seee anything Brian Singer does, and the preview looks awesome!

It's a pro-wrestling-fan term - since fans are called "marks" by the carnies/wrestlers, to submit unabashedly to the coolness of a moment, despite the knowledge of its scriptedness, is known as "marking out." :)
