it's true, car insurance is unpleasant to pay for, too. (really, is there any bill anyone *likes*?!)

Wow, that's a lot of colleges.

And now I may hate you just for having a bus to take. :) I would, if I could....

While it's true that I don't look forward to any bill --car insurance is so maddening because I never 'need it.' I think my cable bill (for tv/internet) is outrageous, but at least I can see that I use/enjoy what I'm paying for every month!

Re: colleges. It is a lot! But mostly it was just a class here and there. I went to one school for the bulk of my education.

Re: bus. I can't believe it's taken me this long to take the bus! I used to be on an inconvenient line in my last flat, but from here, it's really terrific! Wish I'd been doing it all year!

I see your point; all insurance is kind of that way, in that I do want to have it if something happens, but man, does it seem like a lot of money poured straight down the toilet in a year where I don't need to claim on it.

I'm glad you're on a convenient bus line now! That sounds really nice. Plus, less stress on your car. :)

Having never made a claim on my insurance in the entire time I've been paying for it--I'm a little bitter *grin*

And yes--it's nice to sit and zone and not deal with traffic! I'm not sure how cheerful I'll be about walking a mile in the rain come this winter, but I'm ecstatic to pay less for gas and not wear out my already-weary car!

Oh, I hear you. I have car insurance, health insurance, homeowner's insurance, life insurance, and even CAT insurance, and I've never needed any of it! (OK, non-catastrophic health insurance coverage has been used, obviously. And it's not that I'm complaining that I haven't had a crash or crisis or died! Still.)

Your poor car could definitely use the rest. A mile's not that bad, I guess (remind me - it doesn't get down to 0-20 degrees routinely in Seattle, right?), although I wouldn't be thrilled about the rain thing either.

From: [identity profile] verbicide.livejournal.com
I should add that it's only 1/2mi each way, so it's really not that bad at all. And on nice days, it's great because I get to cut through a small park.

And gah--boo to insurance of all kind!

Haha, this rules. I love stuff like this, but everyone yells at me for posting it on my own journal. So I'm putting it here.

1. What bill do you hate paying the most?
Augh, I agree about car insurance. Also my homeowner's association.

We like Daniel's and McCormick & Schmick's.

3. Last time you puked from drinking?
Hmm. My first summer here, I guess. Three years ago?

4. When is the last time you got drunk and danced on a bar?
I don't think I was drunk, but I did dance on a bar a few years ago. My roommate (male) bet me that I wouldn't.

No clue. I'm pretty sure I know who my 2nd grade teacher was, though.

6. What do you really want to be doing right now?

9. Why did you wear the shirt that you have on right now?
We're going camping, and I thought it was appropriate for work but casual enough for camping, too.

10. GAS PRICES! First thought?

Move? Hmm. If jobs or money is somehow dealt with, I'd be all over Italy.

12. First thought when the alarm went off this morning?
Guh, sleepy.

13. Last thought before going to sleep last night?
Need to pack for camping.

14. Favorite style of underwear?
For comfiness, boy shorts. But I often wear, um, underwear with less fabric for work, because I hate panty lines.

15. Favorite style of underwear for the opposite/same sex?
I don't much care, actually.

16. What errand/chore do you despise?
Cleaning the toilet. Yuck.

17. If you didn't have to work, would you volunteer at an art gallery?

I like to sleep in, but it's nice to have all day to do stuff, too.

I love Sinfest. Does that count?

Walk around in a park (with no mosquitos).

21. A secret that you wouldn't mind everyone knowing?
Haha, yeah, how is it a secret if everyone knows?

I'm a bad artist.

23. Email or IM?
E-mail.

Chicken, I guess. Mmm, tuna melts.

Lake. The beach was always cold and windy.

27. Do you think marriage is an outdated ritual that was invented by people who died at 20?
Negative.

28. Who do you stalk on MySpace?
No one really. I found my old roommate on there. She screwed me out of $2000. But I'm not getting it back, so whatever.

29. Favorite guilty pleasure?
Whipped cream. Fruit with whipped cream is the best.

36. If you had to pick one, which cast member of "Lost" would you be?
Never watched it.

37. What do you want when you are sick?
Usually just to sleep or cuddle up.

38. Who from high school would you like to run into?

No one - I really think everything can be dealt with diplomatically (or with one-way plane tickets) without death.

With Brian, occasionally. I should go to synagogue.

57. Pencil or pen?
Pen!

58. bueller??? bueller??? bueller?
...

59. How many jobs have you had?
Seven, I guess. (Can't figure out if my two positions at Boeing count as one job or two.) I also worked at Costco for one night in high school. (Temp thing, helping them do inventory. I didn't remember it until they sent me a W-2.)

60. What do you want to achieve in life?
Financial comfort and domestic tranquility.

It's peach schnapps, jagermeister, and cranberry juice, I think. But it doesn't taste like jager at all - it tastes kind of like Snapple if they make it right.
