We had mock Thanksgiving for Judy's birthday at Ellie's house and omg so much food. The pain!
I'm really excited though, because my oldest brother is coming to town. He's going to give a lecture at UW Medical School, but he's really doing it because well, UW is in Seattle, and that's where I am, and more importantly, it's where my first foray into home-ownership is.
So, most everything's clean. I am finding putting-away-laundry to be an unexpected unsurmountable challenge. But I must do that TONIGHT. Because, messy!
Randomly, and I think because I'm having a guest soon, all the light bulbs in my flat simultaneously have burned out. Okay, not all of them, but the ceiling light fixture in the entry way did, and one of the ceiling halogens in the bedroom did, AND one of the ceiling halogens in the office did. WTF, mate? I had halogens on hand, but not the other type for the entry way. Much annoyance. Because I don't want to run over to Safeway. Not that my brother won't understand, but I want everything shiny, dammit!
And, I am so going to bed early because I would like to be hyper-productive at work tomorrow to make up for my 2-day week last week.
Also, Hobbsie is weird, because he keeps crawling onto my desk and burrowing into my stack of bills. I wish they were as comforting to me as they are to him!
