I had a wonderful evening with
devinluvsrussia! I made fish. I never make fish. And I always think I should make fish, because fish is supposed to be so damn good for you. But I hate things that taste fishy.
I never believe it's going to come out right. I've mastered steak. I've conquered chicken. I can kick the ass of any shrimp. But fish? How to season it right? And of course there can be no bones or tails or heads or anything else. I'm content with my hypocritical non-animal-resembling slabs of meat, thankyouverymuch.
Anyhow, I grilled some pre-seasoned Mahi Mahi from Trader Joes. I grilled it on my George Foreman grill and it came out fine. Not fishy or anything. I love Trader Joes more than words can express. I found one in the U District, so I don't have to haul myself up to Queen Anne every time I need jalapeno-cilantro hummus. Which apparently has crack in it because I am addicted.
So it was a lovely evening. Dinner and Bridget Jones Diary and knitting. Devin was very patient as I tend to squeal hysterically every time Colin Firth appears. Out of courtesy for her I refrained from licking the tv screen.
It's very clear that Hobbes is in love with Devin. He keeps asking why she had to leave.
I would like to profusely thank my best friend
brabble for kindly pointing out that people did respond to my poll and I'm not as big of a loser as I thought. As it was my first poll, I had no idea notification isn't emailed and was feeling sad and rejected. And that maybe it was too personal a poll to post. Thank you so much for responding!
Also, I finished Mishy's scarf! Now I need to churn through Ellie's quilt. Devin very kindly agreed to help cut squares, but I quite selfishly didn't want to share her attention with fabric.
