more listmania
Nov. 22nd, 2006 06:21 pmLists are the only way to keep myself sane, so I apologize in advance for the recent flurry of them.
I've got most of the foodstuff prepared for today. I think I am going to go ahead and bake the quiches and reheat them, because the recipe is pretty permissive (you can even freeze them, but that won't be necessary). Anything that spares me last minute craziness is worth doing.
The rolls turned out better than I expected, though I'm going to make a loaf of rosemary French bread in case they don't taste great (which I won't know until tomorrow when I do the second, final bake). And since the turkey is so enormous and needs to cook for half the day, I'm thinking of prepping the stuffing tonight so I can just wake up and throw the bird in the oven.
I make the cheesecake frosting, but hopefully that won't take too long tonight. Also, despite 300 trips to the market, with lists, I keep forgetting things. I wish I'd bought some diet pepsi. I've cut back recently and switched to crystal light, but nights like this - I could really use the caffeine.
As for non-cooking work, it's been moving much slower, but now as the time is drawing close, I must face the drudgery. The kitty litter is calling.
So, a list. And it's going to be embarrassingly detailed because I am weak and need a lot of babysteps here.
- Clean dining room
- Set table
- Tidy couches
- Dust/wipe down living room
- Clean hall bathroom toilet
- Collect bathroom garbage
- Clean bathroom counter-tops
- Office floor: hurl everything into closet for now
- Put away laundry
- Clean master bathroom toilet
- Collect all shoes and hurl into closet
- Make room in coat closet
- Clean kitchen
- Collect office trash
- Collect kitchen trash
- Collect recycling
- Tidy bedroom
- Toss all trash
Okay. Must stop listing and go start cleaning. Wah!
