Yes, more talk about cooking.
First time roasting duck --could be last time roasting duck. They're not kidding when they tell you it''l smoke up your house. Ack. Even the pre-boiling in chicken stock (six, expensive quarts of chicken stock) which let out scads of duck fat still didn't stop the entire house from smoking up. My oven has just been cleaned. Every window is open, fan is on, and I have another agonizing 15 minutes to go. Gah.
Damn thing better taste decent.
