By the way, speaking of forts, if you ever buy a desktop computer in the future - save the box. It turns out the box is exactly the right size, if you cut a hole in the side, for a cat to hide in and climb on, and surprisingly sturdy to boot. (yeah, you guessed it, we have this in our living room, and six months of four cats and it's still in one piece.) Cheapest piece of cat furniture I ever got. :)
Great tip --he went bananas for the giant box the outdoor grill came in. I felt bad tossing that thing (but it was simply enormous!). A desktop computer box would be much more do-able!
