I think most of the people on my Friend's List are fairly political and don't need me to bellow VOTE at them, so I just wanted to say:

THE DAY IS FINALLY HERE, PEOPLE! WOOO!!!!!!!!!

I went and voted this morning (figuring the lines would be less insane earlier than later) and it was really exciting. I have to admit, I felt all warm and fuzzy and hopeful and inspired as I carefully filled in the Obama/Biden bubble. It's an exciting day that I hope will have a happy ending.

*FINGERS CROSSED*

Also, if anyone does need help finding their polling place, here is a link for you: http://www.vote411.org/pollfinder.php!

OMG so political. I can't stop refreshing CNN and fivethirtyeight.com and there's NOTHING NEW because none of the polls close until 4 pm. But even that crazy little town that votes at midnight (did you see that they have like eighty residents and only 21 are registered to vote? What's up with that?) voted for Obama. I'm predicting a pretty good landslide, but I don't want to say it too loudly because I'll ruin it. And Prop 8, please die.

I know! I know! Don't we get information on Indiana and Virginia around 3pm?

I can't stop clicking on things --and you're right, it's this interminable wait for the results to start coming in.

AHHHH!

(And yes, death to prop 8!)

And I'm so new at this job. I really shouldn't be clicking around on the internet, and I'm especially paranoid about political stuff but I can't stop! (Actually, for the last hour or so, I haven't actually been on the internet, which is a LONG TIME, so I'm happy about that.)

I think even at a new job, today is special! I seriously can't stop reading things myself!!

I voted a couple of weeks ago (gotta love absentee) but am keeping the spirit alive by driving my parents' Obamamobile (we need it for our Vegas trip) and honking and giving thumbs up to No on 8ers...and flipping off/passive aggressively annoying the Yes on 8ers by driving slowly and preventing them from passing.

I'm annoyed with work stuff...and election stuff isn't happening enough quickly enough to distract me.

2(yes), 4, and 8 (no) are the ones I feel strongly about. Not much has been said about 4...which makes me worry it's going to slip through. It angers me that so many people are supporting 8...it's evil, narrowminded bigotry...and making California look bad!

My only hope is that if they pass, they'll be overturned shortly. They're too overtly wrong to stay around long. Maybe that's naive of me, but I just think change is on the way.
