I really, really want a corndog.

(I can't believe I'm posting about this when I'm brimming with election emotions and have stuff to share about our Ashland trip, which included the most amazing meal ever in the history of our culinary lives with two of the best people walking this earth.)

But right now, at not quite 10AM, I just really fucking want a corndog.

We stayed in last night to watch the election results, after a trip to the store to get dinner/snacks. I couldn't think of what I wanted to eat, so I started that mental inventory of the different parts of the store -- deli (nope), meat (don't feel like real cooking), frozen ...

"Oh!" I shouted. "I want CORN DOGS!"

It cracked Patrick right up. So my dinner last night was corn dogs and fresh fruit.

And .... heh ... I STILL CAN HAZ CORN DOGS because I have a whole box in the freezer! *does happy corn dog dance*

It's downright eerie. Because over the years I've occasionally seen the boxes of corn dogs in the freezer, yelled "CORN DOGS!" and then let Pat talk me out of it. I do not buy corn dogs, ever.

But last night it was corn dogs or nuthin'.

It's morning in America. President-elect Obama = CORN DOGS.

You know what's totally funnier is that I do the same thing. I see them and also think CORN DOGS and then resist.

But apparently, this is a time for change! This is a time for corn dogs!!!

It's got to be something they put in corndogs. I, too, get these random driveby cravings for corndogs from time to time, and I do my best to ignore them, because hello, processed food! But damn it if that craving won't hang on like a goddamn pitbull, and I've had to give in a time or to.
