The West Seattle and White Center food banks are both in dire need of assistance. And, the WC food bank is serving 66% more people than at this time last year.

As a cooking enthusiast, I think the thought of hungry people upsets me the most. What's nice about Network for Good, the organization that handles the donations, is that you can setup a monthly automated donation, which I just also setup. It was pretty quick and painless.
With so many people out of work, I can only imagine times are going to get tougher out there for organizations that feed and house those in need.
