tag management
Nov. 26th, 2008 10:35 amEvery so often, I get a little OCD about my out-of-control tags. And I just wanted to ask:
There's still no way to rename a tag to a previously existing tag, is there?
Like I have 'bounce!' and also 'bounce!!' and I would like to just rename 'bounce!!' to 'bounce!' because they both have an equal number of posts. (When there are just one or two, it's less daunting a task.)
Anyhow. This seems like such a simple concept, I hope they have a way of doing this that I haven't figured out yet. (That someone out there can tell me.)

Date: 2008-11-27 04:07 am (UTC)ANYWAY, a workaround would be to use a placeholder tag: rename "bounce!" and "bounce!!" to "temp", remove "bounce!" and "bounce!!", then rename "temp" to "bounce!". That's more complicated than it should be, but it'll work.

Date: 2008-11-27 04:28 am (UTC)I would think it's a glitch, but it's how it's always behaved for me. Maybe it used to work when you tried it and has been broken since then. Oh well, I can just get over it!
