As I've blathered earlier, I'm really getting into David Lebovitz's recipes. I just made these cheesecake brownies and was going a little nuts waiting for them to cool. And I just had my first bite of warm, gooey, cheesecake-y brownie. I may have died of joy. It's the rare recipe where I feel I can just tell that it's going to be good, but as I poured the rich, dark, bittersweet chocolate-y batter into the pan--I could tell.

His recipes are pretty straight-forward and easy to do. And the results are absurdly rewarding.

I'm just going to sit over here and purrrrr.

So, please. For the love of GOD. Someone else go make these right now!! Because that was seriously a sexual experience.

It really does! I'm too scared of the ICY DEATH to want to leave the house! Even w/ my Yak Trax on! Eeep!! If we'd just have like 3 days of 35+ weather, our driveway wouldn't be so scary!!

Thanks! DH just reminded me that he kept us up w/ his random coughing for like 2 hours in the middle of the night last night. So now I have an excuse for being about to go to bed before 9 on a Fri night!!

I just don't know how you guys do it out there! I can barely handle it when things dip below 40!

And for some reason, I often find Friday nights tiring and want to go to bed early, so I think that sounds like a lovely plan! Just dive into bed and get rested up for some weekend fun!!

The spring, summer, and fall make up for it - fall air here is like nothing else!

Usually I make it past 9, but I'm the same way on fri - I'm usually normally exhausted by the week, and if I try to stay up late, then it like ruins the actual weekend!

I know what you mean. To a lesser extreme degree, it's how I feel about Seattle. The summer is so exquisite here that it makes us all bear the winter craziness.
