the taco thing

So, talking last night, Pete told me that there was this theory out there that women prefer hard taco shells and men prefer soft tacos.

It was true in our case. I don't like soft tacos (and I freaking haaaaaaate soft corn tortillas) and he hates hard tacos (which I think he calls shards of messy death).

So I said I'd throw a poll up here and see what happens.

And, that's about it. You guys are mostly taco sluts, apparently. I'm very proud.

Pete's going to be so annoyed with the clicky thing results. Muhahahaha! He was completely bemused, "What? Wait! What is that clicky thing answer?! Why is there a clicky thing?!"

Strangely, I don't really like ANY tacos. I love Mexican food in general, but tacos - I dunno! They're too boring and the cheese isn't melty enough or something. Much to DH's chagrin - they'd be so easy to have for dinner!

I love crispy ones! But generally if I'm at a Mexican restaurant, I'll get enchiladas--because I, too, am a fan of the melty!

It took me a long time to come to enchiladas (I think mostly because I so dislike soft corn tortillas), and I'd get quesadillas or burritos. But now I really love enchiladas, too!

Saturday I had great hard tacos with the nice and nephew - I find it's a great idea to have them help with the preparations, that way they help make dinner while actually preparing dinner.

Then Sunday, I was a Wii party in which the hostess laid out a stupendous taco bar - grilled chicken shredded beef, shredded pork, every time of pepper, and like nine types of cheese.

However, I come down on the side of a hard, crunchy taco when given a choice.

But my Mexican of choice at a restaurant is the chimichanga.
