project ninacakes: chocolate fudge cakes

Yep, this is likely all I'll be talking about for the next week!
I just put the chocolate fudge cakes in the oven. I don't have high hopes that this is going to turn out, actually. It's my first mayonnaise based cake, so maybe it's just that I'm unfamiliar with this type of batter, but it was really runny.
I've been moving very slowly through these cakes as they're all new recipes and new techniques. Reading twice, measuring twice. It doesn't seem like there's enough dry ingredients, though. This is where I fervently wish ingredients were given by weight, not volume. Especially flour and cocoa powder.
But they're in the oven, and we'll see what happens. I'm not sure if I'll remake this cake if it fails--maybe I'll switch to the other chocolate cake I usually make, and continue on with the white chocolate mousse and sour cream chocolate frosting from this recipe.
