I love Judy.

She just got back from a long weekend in Santa Barbara and called to confirm our plans for Mean Girls this afternoon. I can't think of anything I need more right now than a bitchy girl movie.

What was it about last week--she apparently went careening off her diet, too (but also didn't gain weight) and we discussed how bad that was, because we ought to be punished for our sins. Back on the wagon today. I told her I finally tried the damn cereal she made me buy (Kashi Original Good Friends - 1pt for 3/4 cup and freaking 8grams of fiber) and like it enough to eat it. But it's no Honey Nut Chex *sad*

I was telling her that I feel completely bloated today. Even my face feels fat. Very glad to have those saggy jeans today. No way would I try to squeeze myself into the better fitting ones. I don't want to know if they're tighter today. Feel like I should wander around like Homer, in a flowered Mumu. Bleh.

Anyhow, Judy and I have a long history of movie watching and generally feel the same way about any particular movie (which means I should give Master & Commander a chance, but uh no--stupid Russell Crowe). We laugh, cry, shriek or hide under the chairs at the same points. It remains one of my all time favorite activities in life. And somewhat selfishly, just me and Judy at a movie is something magical. Not that I didn't love going to see RotK en masse with the extended group, or won't have fun at Harry Potter this summer when Stace comes up. But a matinee with your best friend can't be beat. Especially on a rainy Monday like this.

Judy will buy popcorn, which she worships. I will get a hot dog (8pts) because I have grudgingly accepted that I have a weird gastro-intestinal reaction to popcorn (popcorn!?). It's just incomparable bliss. We'll sink back into our seats and before the previews start, whisperedly catch up about our weekends. We both share the same movie etiquette. No talking unless you missed a point, and then whisper very, very quietly.

So yaaaaay. Now it needs to be 2pm so I can be done with work and go there already. I hear it's a fun movie and I think Lindsay Lohan is pretty adorable. Should be a fun afternoon.

Then back home to freaking workout already. *stern look* No more bad behavior.

I actually made some progress on Ellen's quilt last night, so possibly will stop by JoAnn Fabric to pick up the sashing. I might actually finish it this week. Whoop. Also making decent progress on Mo's appalling Rainbow Brite scarf. Totally need to start Zia's quillow as it was his birthday last month. SHIT, forgot to call H about his birthday. Dammit. Too many damn people. Must acquire personal assistant or something.

Hey, me too! I don't know why that's cause for cheer and commenting, but it is.

Mean Girls is pretty fun. It's good movie for a bloaty day.

It's cause for cheer because... because... we're not ALONE, goddammit.

Glad you liked Mean Girls!

On the other hand, devastated you hated Van Helsing, because it means I won't bother seeing it now. And DAMN Hugh Jackman is hot. Sigh.
