kill me now
May. 24th, 2004 10:24 pmSeriously don't want to do the stupid user guide. But I have to. Wah!
Must. Start. NOW.
Which is why I'm dithering on LJ, naturally.
Ok. Will do the reporting section tonight. Vendor crap tomorrow and product list on Wednesday.
Baby steps. If I take baby steps I can make it through the next two weeks, right?
Ellie was an angel and edited my craptastic resume and made it look decent. I have to do some work on it (after school is fucking over with) and send it back to her for a final bit of polish before commencing with the job search. Would rather have rectal surgery than look for work, but that wasn't offered as an option.
Doing the volunteer tech editing has been interesting. Just submitted my third piece and felt much more confident about it. Have gotten good feedback on it. I find it much easier to edit other work than revise my own. This was a bit of a surprising discovery as I always thought I'd prefer writing/revising to editing. Huh.

Trading cloooooooothes and ringing Pavlov's bell!
Date: 2004-05-25 05:17 pm (UTC)Serves you right for not being able to stay up to the crack of dawn with me anymore. Stupid work hours *grin*
And yes, bring bring. Though I am really going to try to have all the crap done before you come. Want to play. Oh! Bring FFX, too. And maybe research avec Dan what other games will entertain us in our most ADD hours.
I think it's hilarious we picked my last weekend before the end of my freaking program.
And cool about Shrek 2. Will buy tickets.

Date: 2004-05-25 05:18 pm (UTC)Yes to both! *grin*
Re: Trading cloooooooothes and ringing Pavlov's bell!
Date: 2004-05-26 06:55 pm (UTC)Cause if you have one and just no games... *buys SNES games*
I will bring FFX. Which I never played. Oh well.
Bugger on the weather. Maybe it'll clear up. It's supposed to be craptastic here all weekend so it's not like I'm missing anything if it doesn't.
Re: Trading cloooooooothes and ringing Pavlov's bell!
Date: 2004-05-26 07:09 pm (UTC)So here's the current status. I have that SNES from Babbages. I don't know if it works, because I don't know if all my games are so old and fucked up that they're not working. I know my old SNES that you took back with you doesn't work. Well, again--did you try a game that wasn't mine on it? If you have a new SNES game we can test, for the love of god, bring it out here.
And crossing my fingers on the weather for you.
Um. Also. Jerry's cookies? *pathetic puppy dog eyes*
Re: Trading cloooooooothes and ringing Pavlov's bell!
Date: 2004-05-26 07:21 pm (UTC)I have a "new" SNES game that Dan and I bought to try out on your SNES that I have.. didn't work, naturally. But we just bought it, and I assume vendors do some form of QC on the used games they buy for resale, so.. *shrug*
It's Yoshi, or something. I'll bring it. We couldn't get any of your games to work on either consol, IIRC.
Re: Trading cloooooooothes and ringing Pavlov's bell!
Date: 2004-05-26 07:28 pm (UTC)Oh god bless you. And um *greedy* some Brueggers? Asiago, the weird soft, square ones? Half a dozen? I will totally pay for 'em. They need to fucking open one up out here. And I'll buy the Indian food. The um wet chicken etc *grin*
Did I tell you they finally opened up a Chipotle here?
And SNES: Okay--excellent. Yes. None of my games worked on either. But omfg if Yoshi works, we are so scouring the world for Zelda.
Omfg. Omfg. You'll be here in fucking 2 days. *glee*
Re: Trading cloooooooothes and ringing Pavlov's bell!
Date: 2004-05-26 07:38 pm (UTC)-Buffy S3
-X-Files movie
-Jerry's cookies
-1/2 dozen Bruegger's asiago, square
-Yoshi
Missing anything?
We so need Zelda. And Super Mario. And yes.
Yay on the Chipotle *grin*
Re: Trading cloooooooothes and ringing Pavlov's bell!
Date: 2004-05-26 07:42 pm (UTC)FFX
and any other PS2 games you want to play while here.
And maybe some suggestions from Dan in case ADD hits and you're dying to rent something.
Of course if we get SNES to work, it'll be exciting to see if we do anything but sit 3 feet from the tv and order in pizza.
Have I mentioned how utterly fucking excited I am that you're coming? *grin* I actually made headway on the fucking User Guide last night in your honor.
And now I have a burning desire to do nothing but play Zelda. I think that remains my favorite of all time.
Re: Trading cloooooooothes and ringing Pavlov's bell!
Date: 2004-05-26 07:47 pm (UTC)If that SNES works we're going to bore the hell out of everyone we're supposed to hang out with this weekend. Will ask Dan about games. (Do you see why I NEED that BPTeen rocker chair thingie? Perfect video game seat.)
*fastforwards to Friday*
Re: Trading cloooooooothes and ringing Pavlov's bell!
Date: 2004-05-26 07:57 pm (UTC)Sounds like a plan *grin*
And uh yeah. If SNES works...we'll be at our ultimate unsociableness. We'll have to tear ourselves away for a few meals here and there.
Oh. I need to buy booze. Lots of it. Oh fuck it. We'll go to the store on our way home that night and get the party started.
And I'm not over the fact that it's called BPTeen. *mentally rewinds to when you were 15*
FridayFridayFridayFriday. *chants*
