Today's class was pretty cool. It was exciting to finally learn Framemaker. Let me again say what a weird luxury it is to learn software in class and not just on my own. Was going to go see Girl With A Pearl Earring, but it was two hours after class and didn't feel like hanging around waiting for it, so decided to try burrito place Jeff suggested (Gorditos) and just come home.

Was talking to class-Jeff and we both agree that something about Saturday morning class just wipes us out. For me, of course, it's the early wakeup. I need to understand that if I'm going to leave the house at 8:30, I should be out of bed before 8:20. Still, speed dressing and psychotic driving got me to class on time, in fact early enough to grab my favorite terminal.

Got Ordinary People from Netflix today. I feel so bad for these people. omfg. If I wasn't so full and warmly snuggled in bed, I think I would bawl for them. It's very very good. Judd Hirsch and Donald Sutherland and Mary Tyler Moore are amazing. Timothy Hutton: WOW.

It's sappy, but movies like this make me so grateful that everyone I know and love is ok. That they're safe. That nothing really awful has ever happened to us. Not that I always manage to keep that perspective when I'm pissed off...

Hee. Sarah just called, "Cat! I'm at an Indian place with mom! What's the name of that chicken I like?"

Repeat: Sarah and really her entire family need to move to Seattle. I looooove them all.

Pride & Prejudice. Colin Firth. Heaven.

Was temporarily blinded by shallow lust for Clive Owen, Sean Bean and Karl Urban, but have sensibly returned to the true love of my life: Colin Firth. I simply cannot watch this mini series without salivating openly. Must fast forward through Mr. Collins though or will break things. Weirdly, something about David Bamber's face reminds me of Kim Cattrall. It is the most bizarre thing ever.

I am thinking disloyal thoughts of selling the vhs tapes I bought of all the Colin Firth movies (that I couldn't find available for rent or otherwise owned), because I can't imagine watching any of them over again.

God. There isn't a time I watch this mini series that I don't completely understand why it was such a raging hit (or need to dive fully clothed into a pond or something to cool down).

Watching Lizzie and Mr. Darcy all but panting at each other on disc two is just about more than I can bear.

God Bingly's sisters are a pair of harpies. *hiss*

Almost finished and then I swear to god I'm going to bed early and spending tomorrow scouring the flat clean and reformatting my goddamn pc which has been having one hissy fit after another for months.
