Had a really late night. By late night, I mean 8am. But it was well worth it. It always is. Slept for a few hours and then woke up right before [livejournal.com profile] jeff_nw called to give his 12:30 eta. Hopped out of bed, because Jeff doesn't need to see cat puke all over the carpet. Did some general cleaning, dishes, garbage, etc. Was all ready to assemble Taco Soup, but knew needed a few items from the grocery store.

Went down to car. Battery's dead. Again. No lights left on, nothing that makes it my fault.

Very, very annoyed now. Don't have time to walk to store and make it back in time. Must call Jeff now and see if he's okay with going out to grab a bite, even though that'll slow us down on our project. Brhh.

I know Jeff'll help me jump start the car, but didn't need to replace a battery along with the two tires that are getting threadbare.

Also worried that it might not be the battery, but some other mysterious repair. Having paid off the car last September, I'd hoped for a respite from car-related expenses. Yeah, stupid. I know.

Ugh. And it's Sunday. It's going to be an ugly week at work. Horrible to get to Sunday afternoon and start dreading the week. I know it's just a bad patch and will get better. But between hating work and the enormous school projects, it's going to be a sucktastic week.

ahh yay

Much better now.

Had most productive study date with the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] jeff_nw who continues to rule beyond all description. We walked around, checked out the Ballard Farmer's Market in search of food and went to some Alehouse (can't remember the name) and split some sandwiches. Jabbered happily about everything except our impending project of doom.

In good spirits we stopped briefly at QFC for some Seattle's Best and I managed to pick up the quick groceries I needed. And then we settled into work.

I could not have survived this assignment alone. We worked through the crappy software and suddenly this write-up is not so insurmountable. Amazing what a little focus can grant you.

Then down to the car where we managed to jumpstart my car without too much trouble and I drove aimlessly around charging it and Jeff left to feed Brutus the Beautiful. Hopefully the car will still start tomorrow. Please let it survive until Thursday, which is by far the easiest day for me to deal with shit.

There was a brief, depressing moment when Jeff randomly told me he hated When Harry Met Sally. It was a real low point in our friendship, but we survived it, and I hope we will be stronger for it. How can anyone hate When Harry Met Sally?? It's the best movie EVER! It's a measure of my love for Jeff that I didn't drop him like third period French. With most people, that sort of thing is a deal-breaker. It makes me wonder, is it just a movie that guys hate? All the women I know love it.

Now to assemble the taco soup for dinner and work on this stupid thing, which shouldn't be as awful now that we've worked through a basic outline of what has to be done. So ready for this quarter to be over already. Ready to be done with school and be a full time worker again. Please let it be a job with benefits.
