It's such a pretty day outside. Not blisteringly hot. Not glacial. Cool breezes, blue skies and warm sunshine.

Finally going to do Greenlake again after an unforgivable absence. Then lunch. And I'm going to do my level best to twist Jeff's arm into going to Tully's for some crack-addictive, coffee-flavored, soft serve.

And now I'm going to babble because I'm just waiting for him to get here any minute now.

I absolutely have to go to Trader Joes today and stock up on actual food so I don't end up at starving point and ordering in all the time. Shit. I should make a list huh. Except that I'm really just out of every thing, so never mind. I also want to go to the yarn store to buy yarn for Y's scarf. He's next on the list. Though I completely skipped A and H and Z because they'd asked for more complicated things. I love making scarves because it takes very little effort. There is this really beautiful, delicate scarf pattern that I want to buy, but don't know if my skill level is up to it. Keep thinking if I make it, should just turn it over to my sister in law Sarah, because she's very graceful and elegant. She's got that delicate Audrey Hepburn beauty that I frankly covet. I'm wayyyyy too spazzy to ever be described as elegant or graceful or dignified.

Speaking of which, just watched Audrey Hepburn/Cary Grant in Charade. Loved it. She's absurdly beautiful. And I can't help but adore Cary Grant. So proper. He cracks me up.

Hobbes has finally stopped head butting me the entire night, so actually managed a few hours of uninterrupted sleep. Had a blast staying up till 3am chatting with [livejournal.com profile] brabble. Something we haven't enjoyed in ages since she left college and got one of those annoying full time job things. Then boyf's morning call (always worth waking up for) at 8am and now I'm downright irritatingly perky.

Started watching Unforgiven, almost grudgingly. It arrived from Netflix because I hadn't reordered my queue, and I really wasn't in the mood for Western, because I never actually am. But finding, surprisingly, that it's quite good. Haven't finished it yet, but I can see why it did as well as it did.

Ooo he's here!! *scampers off*

So naturally had amazing time with Jeff. We haven't seen each other in AGES. He came over, we sat down and properly caught up on all that's gone on. He was very indulgent and cooed over each and every one of my new plants. Unfortunately, he was a bit under the weather, recovering from a nagging cold. So we chilled, talked and then set out for Maggie's Bluff for some lunch.

It was a gorgeous day out and we happily found the place easily. I'd only been there once before and was navigating from month old memory. Soup, sandwiches, and a ridiculously good bread pudding later, we sat and continued to just talk about everything under the sun. Our relationships, work, movies, politics, and cats.

Back to my place, Greenlake abandoned because Jeff was still worn out from his cold. Walking into my apartment, we paused so I could check my mailbox. There was a surprise waiting! Greg (my ever darling boyf) had sent me a surprise present! Clannad - Greatest Hits. I squealed up 3 flights of stairs.

Jeff and I chatted some more and he set out for home. I ripped open the cd and have been listening to it ever since. I'm not sure I've ever heard them before, but it's beautiful music, hauntingly sweet. I swear even Hobbes loves it. He's sitting happily next to the speakers, purrrrrring. As am I.

sheesh
