Losing. My. FUCKING MIND.

As I scan through my friends page, I see the thoughts whirling through my head echoed everywhere.

But mostly, I'm just so motherfucking disappointed in my fellow Americans. As much as I believe that Bush's numbers are so high, or rather, Kerry's numbers are so low, is due to mass voter fraud and disenfranchisement, it fucking boggles my fucking mind that so many people actually want Bush for another four years.

Despite all the news reports and protests. Despite the global outcry.

I hear talks of civil war, civil disobedience and I feel sick and sad and just... gah.

Please, please, PLEASE. Ohio. Come through for us.

I would like to stay glued to my computer/tv set today but I have my first day at a new job.

Yes. Maybe I'm insane, but I wish they'd at least waited for Iowa and Ohio.

I should have been more prepared for this, but I wasn't. I really thought we'd come through. In the words of the immortal Vinzini, it's fucking INCONCEIVEABLE.

For the past four years I've increasingly hated the Bush administration, but tonight I'm pretty fixed on my disgust with 51% of this country. Four more years of lies and deceit and god-empowered bullshit. Four more years of fascism and legislative homophobia and economic distress.

WHAT THE FUCK WERE THEY THINKING?

No, I'm not going to talk of fleeing to Canada. I'm just going to have to fight the battles that are sure to come as this administration, encouraged by victory, continues to drive this country into the ground.

Time to hunker down and wait out another horrible four years and hope that nothing irreversible transpires.

Very tired now. Hate everything.

I think I'm done ranting here about this election. I'm still upset, but bitching about it continuously isn't going to help. So I'd like to end with these positive words:

Governor Howard Dean sent this message
to Democracy for America supporters today.

Montana, one of the reddest states, has a new
Democratic governor.

First-time candidates for state legislatures from
Hawaii to Connecticut beat incumbent Republicans.

And a record number of us voted to change
course—more Americans voted against George
Bush than any sitting president in history.

Today is not an ending.

Also, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] brabble for this link and for making me laugh when I really didn't think it was possible.
